The Isaiah 4 Sign: His Spirit is Our Only Covering/Leaving Man Pleasing Shepherds to David's

Between April 5 and 7th of 2020 hurricane Harold, a Category 5 hurricane, hit two Islands in the South Pacific nation of Vanuata, Holy Spirit Island (Isle Espiritu Santo) and Pentecost Island.  (It struck me as significant that the storm made landfall on islands named Holy Spirit and Pentecost, so I began looking into it and asking the Lord about it.  The first thing that stood out to me was that this archipelago is located in what is called the New Hebrides which takes its name from the Scottish Hebrides Islands where a powerful revival broke out in the 1940’s.)

I discovered that the name of the storm, Harold, means “Army Ruler”. (When the Lord began quickening my spirit to particular signs and events in 2018, I soon discovered that certain dates and numbers corresponded with scripture. When I asked him which book, the answer that came to my mind was “Isaiah, always Isaiah.”)

The storm was formed on April 1st and then hit both islands between the 5th  and 7th of April. As such, it seemed that this sign was pointing me generally to the 4th chapter of the book of Isaiah with particular emphasis on verses 5-6. (April being the 4th month corresponding to the 4th chapter, and the days corresponding to verses.)

Isa 4: 5-6

And Jehovah will create over the whole habitation of mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be spread a covering. And there shall be a pavilion for a shade in the day-time from the heat, and for a refuge and for a covert from the storm and from rain.

(Harold means Army Ruler, so what came to me was that God was coming to take charge over His church. In my spirit I felt Him say, “I am taking my Spirit off of Saul, those who fear man more than they fear me, and placing it on the David’s who have pure hearts.”  No longer will the church be ruled by man, for God is removing the Saul’s who desire to please man and placing His Spirit on the David’s who have experienced God’s power and have revelation of Me.)

1 Sa 17:45-47 This day will Jehovah deliver thee into my hand; and I will smite thee, and take thy head from off thee; and I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day unto the birds of the heavens, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah's, and he will give you into our hand.

I also believed he was saying that the spirit of burning would purify the body of Christ in this hour leading to His Spirit resting on the assemblies.

As I was musing over all of this, my friend Caroline texted me a video of our friend’s song written many years ago entitled, Cloud by Day, Fire by Night. I could not believe my eyes!

The Lord also led me to Isa 30:1-2: Woe to the rebellious children, saith Jehovah, that take counsel, but not of me; and that make a league, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin, that set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt.

In the KJV that I usually read it says that the rebellious children, Cover with a covering, but not of My Spirit… The only covering in this hour is the covering of His Spirit and not the covering of man’s strength. Jer 17:5,7-8 Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah. Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neith shall cease from yielding fruit.

(The only safe place in this hour is in the Spirit-filled life and assembly.)

Growing in Revelation

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26 It is so important that we approach scripture as children, expecting the Holy Spirit to open our minds to Truth. As “churched” believers, (I so dislike that term, it sounds like something that is pickled), we are in danger of approaching the word as if we fully understand it. This attitude shuts off revelation, dulling our spiritual vision and curbing our knowledge of God. We are called to be spiritually quickened, not to pickle in the stagnant pools of familiar church doctrine. This is not to say that church doctrine is a not good and helpful. No, the problem comes when doctrine becomes a wall that shuts us out from Spirit led revelation. But when viewed as a door, doctrine can serve as an invitation, beckoning the hungry heart to come in and explore. It is interesting to note...

Searching for Simeons; be still and know

Be Still, and Know.  This word came to me after I quieted my heart this morning and felt that it was the Lord speaking a word of caution and encouragement.  "Practice solitude often. Solitude increases your spiritual perception. The spirit knows and perceives while the natural mind ponders, divides, considers, reasons. Guard your mind from distraction. Knowing in the realm of the spirit is much like a man who looks into a calm pond and sees his reflection in the stillness of the water. He can see his image until a pebble is cast into the water and he loses the image just as it is taking shape. In the same way, silence is the calm water that allows you to hear my voice, for I speak to you in the silence. Emails, T.V., talk shows, intrusive cell phones are the little pebbles that disturb the water just as knowledge is forming in the depths of the spirit man. You may guard yourself against the "giants in the land" but miss me in the distractions of life. It is death by 1,00...

How Faith Grows: Labor to Rest (and Tear Down Those Beliefs that Steal the Word!)

Your word is my shield and buckler. No matter what enemy David was facing, he consistently fled into the refuge of God's word. He meditated on it day and night until He saw God move.    “As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.” (John 6:57) How do we eat Jesus? “Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat that which is good , and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” Isaiah 55:2 We hear him, and we keep hearing him until faith is born. When faith is born, we enter into the substance of the unseen. When faith has been born, some work or experience will follow. Until then, it is dead. Like a tiny seed, the promise yields its peaceable fruit in due season; new fruit of the Spirit, or freedom from some opression. But first, we have to chew, and chew, and chew. This is actually the biblical metaphor for how we are to labor to enter into the rest of God. “Let us therefore fear, lest, a PROMISE being left us ...
