(rough draft)
Lift up your heads, oh ye ancient gates, be lifted up Oh ye
ancient doors
that the King of Glory may come in. Who is the King of Glory? The
Lord strong and mighty, the Lord invincible in battle. Who is this King of
Glory? The Lord
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of
glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lifte up your
heads, O ye gates; even lift them up ye everlasting doors; and the King of
glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the
King of glory. Selah.”
Esther was troubled. She heard the news that Haman has
chosen a date to slaughter the Jews, her people. So she ran into the secret
place. She inquired of the Lord. She put her fleshly ideas of salvation aside
to seek His face alone, and she followed His instructions although they made no
sense at all. In fact, the Lord’s instructions increased the risk. What? Invite
the man who is plotting their genocide to a dinner with the King? Only those
who you wish to honor are invited to dine with you, but that is what God has
instructed. He had a plan, one that was known only to Him. That plan gave the
enemy great confidence, which is exactly what a dinner with the King will do to
a man. He invited me to a dinner party! I must be great.
God instructed Jesus to invite the enemy to his last supper
as well. Oh, the ways of God no one can know. We can assume Judas and the enemy
that inhabited him thought their wicked scheme to destroy the Lord’s anointed was
coming to pass swimmingly. When we trust God sitting at the table with our enemy, instead of acting in our own human will and reasoning, guess who is for dinner? The enemy. Read Ezekiel 39 for those who wait on God and trust in him instead of the powers of man and this world. We will feast on the destruction of the enemy and the peace that flows from God's victory over us!
Lift up your head, O ye gates, be lifted up ye ancient doors.
We need the King of Glory to come into our hearts and minds. When I asked a
friend what these heads and gates were she said it was the mind. Of course, the
gate and door to our temple is the mind and heart. Jesus said, when these
things come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws near. The King of Glory
is coming in, and he is the only one who can destroy the enemy rising to
destroy His church and His people.
It is only the heart that swings the door wide to Him that
can be washed of sin. The shakings and afflictions brings the dross to the top
so that we can see the hidden things in the heart, confess them and be cleansed
from our sin; a people made ready for their Bridgroom! Clothed in white linen.
There will be great persecution, as never before according to Jesus. God allows
this for a time (Rev 6) until His purposes are accomplished.
“And they cried with a loug voice, saying, How long, O Lord,
holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on
the earth.” Revelation 6:10
The people of the earth will be filled with Satanic hatred,
not just of Israel but of all of God’s people. Jesus warned us of this. He said
a servant is not greater than his master, and if they hated me, they will hate
your too. Meaning, you don’t get better treatment than I received, for I am
greater, not you, and if they hated and murdered me then it will happen to you
as well.
“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I sw under the altar
the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony
which they held.” Rev 6:9
Those who refuse to deny Christ and hold to their testimony
will be worn down by the antichrist spirit, and hated by everyone on the earth
who deny His name.
Be lifted up ye ancient doors, be lifted up Oh ye gates,
that the King of Glory may come in. The King is coming, the King is coming, the
King IS COMING!
