Newness of Life

 This needs more editing, but I wanted to post these thoughts and verses. John 6:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, “And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” “Then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those who had been given the right to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus, for proclaiming the word of God, and who had not worshiped the Creature or his statue, not accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They had come to life again and now they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.) I believe that Isaiah 7 and 8 are a prophetic parallel to our day offering insight and wisdom. For thus the Lord spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of t his people, saying,  "You are not to say, It is a conspiracy! In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. "It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, and He shall be your dread." Isaiah 8:12-13 The people of Judah feared an alliance between Israel's Northern Kingdom and the Syrian King. Isaiah warned them to put their trust in God, but Judah's King would not listen to him and instead trusted in an alliance with Assyria's King. Since the people were in fear and trusted in a man, God warned Isaiah not to be swept up into the idolatry that was overtaking all of the people around him. Sound familiar?
