 I am reposting this from last September because it is so relevant. It streamed out in first-person from what I felt in my hear from the Lord, so read it with a discerning heart. The events in the world are stirring up emotions, and passions, anger, strife, hatred, fear, and confusion. Betrayal, accusations, rumors, threats are coming quickly to destroy your faith and love and to steal the word of the Lord in your hearts. Above all, guard your hearts! Hurt people hurt people. If you are not watchful, you will give way to offense, fear, anger, and the spirit of accusation. The Lord told us that we would be hated for his name, and the NT writers warned us that we are appointed to suffer with him. Loving those who hate us is the very essence of the gospel, and it is the one thing that transforms our sinful hearts. Our hearts are under siege. Our love is under attack. We have to guard our hearts as never before, because God is pouring out his Holy Spirit to shine His glory to the nations, and Satan is also pouring out his evil spirit. Trump has done some great things, and he is also doing some things that should raise at least one eyebrow. While Christians were able to resist and name things that were wrong under the last administration, they seem silent when they ought to speak in this administration.
