  We have all been living through mass denial for many years now, but this kind of takes the cake. In the words of Maya Angelou, "When people show you who they are, believe them."  All of this reminds me of my work with women in abusive relationships. Sadly, they can be treated worse than trash and yet find some way to rationalize the abuser's actions because she wants to believe that he loves her, like we want to believe that Trump loves the U.S and conservative values too. He doesn't. Remember the days when we used to say that the simplest answer is usually the truth? The days before "he is playing 3 dimensional chess", a perspective that makes people doubt what is obviously true. We are playing the fool!  I just wanted to write a short blog post. I am at my office and need to finish my notes so I can get home to my dear, sweet Gracie and possibly a long nap, but I have to say something. I am freaking out a little, and when I say freaking out, I mean sort of excited, and awe struck. The King is coming, things are moving quickly now, so excitement and awe are warranted. I will say what the Lord spoke to my heart last year, "Stop doubting! Stop doubting what I am saying to you. A soldier in battle must know who he is fighting, and what his job is. Stop doubting what you know is true." I believe that the Lord asked me to "pay attention" back in 2015 when I saw my first ever sign pointing to the times that we are in. Prior to that night standing on my balcony staring up at the moon, I had never seen a sign, nor did I particularly want to-that was for weirdos. Really, I kid you not.  Man' religion always defines "bad" and "good" and works to fix it. God isn't really necessary when it comes down to it. SELF is sufficient to the task. So, please feel free to disagree with me, of course, but I want to be able to challenge the prevailing views as a "good Berean" in the spirit of unifying, not for the sake of unity, but for the sake of Christ. We often shy away from challenging doctrines and popular teachings calling any discussion or debate "disunity" and even religious. Cults do the same thing to quiet and suppress dissent. In the church, no one wants to be seen as a troublemaker. But is this what God meant by disunity?  From what I can see, and I could be in error, scripture teaches that disunity results when people move in a spirit of pride, jealously, gossip and other selfish sins.
