Haman's Gift

We have all been living through mass denial for many years now, but this kind of takes the cake. In the words of Maya Angelou, "When people show you who they are, believe them."

All of this reminds me of my work with women in abusive relationships. Sadly, they can be treated worse than trash and yet find some way to rationalize the abuser's actions because she wants to believe that he loves her, like we want to believe that Trump loves the U.S and conservative values too. He doesn't. Remember the days when we used to say that the simplest answer is usually the truth? The days before "he is playing 3 dimensional chess", a perspective that makes people doubt what is obviously true. We are playing the fool! Keep it simple; if it walks like a duck...

I tuned into a few die-hard supporters and again I hear this statement, "I am confused." My abused clients always say that, because the truth/reality doesn't match their belief about the abuser. Worse yet, a supporter of his surmised, "I think he is suffering from a messiah syndrome....he acts as if nothing he does can fail." I will suggest that he thinks this way because the Bible says that the man of sin will be possessed by the spirit of Apollyon, the Prince of Grecia who possessed Alexander the Great. (I can provide extensive support for this view from scripture notes in my Dake Study Bible and the Expositor's Bible.)

Donald J. Trump is possessed by a strong demonic spirit which is why nations are bowing to him. It seems it inhabited him just after his head wound which was seen as God's divine stamp, as per Rev 13, and with that, he ascended his throne. This time, he is taking down the world's richest economy while the citizens of said economic power applaud with gleeful anticipation of the coming wealth transfer. Yes, there will be a transfer, of our money out of our nation. It will get much, much worse before it gets better. Wait for it and LOOK UP. God will have the final word before it's all over. In that dark hour....the Messiah comes suddenly! (Dan 7,12). Blessed are those who wait for Him, the meek of the earth, who will not look to men, horses, armies and nations.

Frank Shaeffer is Francis's son. A friend said that he is an atheist now, which is tragic, but on this point, he rings true (*except for his vaccine stance). It's disturbing that unbelievers are seeing truth when most believers aren't seeing it. That ring of truth is so rare these days that it really stands out to me when I hear it. That ring is missing in the Charismatic movement (not to be confused with true Charisma/Holy Spirit in our lives.) There is a ring in the truth. It rings in the whole being. It resounds and there is no doubt, question, or confusion in the truth. Ever. We have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth who lives with us, and we can trust Him to teach each one of us.

Those Who Are With Us Are More Than Those Who Are With Them

In 2 Kings 5:21, the King of Aram sends his army to surround the Israelites who were camped in the town of Dortham. As “churched” believers, (I so dislike that term, it sounds like something that is pickled), we are in danger of approaching the word as if we fully understand it. This attitude shuts off revelation, dulling our spiritual vision and curbing our knowledge of God. We are called to be spiritually quickened, not to pickle in the stagnant pools of familiar church doctrine. This is not to say that church doctrine is a not good and helpful. No, the problem comes when doctrine becomes a wall that shuts us out from Spirit led revelation. The Crowned Virus

The entire globe is held in the iron-clad grip of a global pandemic. This life altering virus has brought the world to a screeching halt as the earth reels under its cold, dark shadow. Recently, I began to really wonder about the name, Coronavirus. Where did it originate? Who named it? What I found was interesting. Seeing God

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it.” In his book, Prayer, Richard Foster points out that God waits and longs to be loved. He goes on to make the bold claim that God is more tender hearted than anyone, though we do not often see him this way. And yet, how could he be less tender than the most tender human heart? Foster emphasizes how easily moved is this Tender-Hearted One, moved by our tears, and moved by our loving gestures towards him, weak as they may be. He surrounds us with tender mercies. The Christian world, what I will call "Churchianity", has chosen to overlook things that are inconvenient to see. All That Matters

I saw it with perfect clarity right after Steve died suddenly in a car accident, the very week that we were setting our wedding date. While I was tossing around wedding ideas with my sister on the phone one clear, fall morning, unbeknownst to me, Steve had already died in a wreck. In a few hours I would get the call. But through the violent tears of grief for the greatest love I have ever known, God kindly gave me a glimpse of eternity. We have been issued a divine invitation to partake of heavenly things. In 2 Peter we are told that we have "great and precious promises, by which we become partakers of the divine nature." (KJV).
